Friday, April 17th

Tim and Donna had a long night last night. Tim spent most of yesterday very lucid. However, last night he was foggy minded, restless and aggitated. This morning he was better. When physical therapy arrived they had him sit at the edge of his bed, put on his own shoes, and tie them. He was able to do it just fine. His Neurosurgeon, Dr. Silva, said that he is still on schedule for surgery on Monday. The only thing that could delay it, is if Timothy came down with an infection or illness. After the surgery he will be on the Neuro ICU floor for a while. Tim is still very nervous about the surgery. The doctor said his recovery will regress at first, then probably progress as it did before. This is likely what is making Tim so anxious. It will be like taking a few steps back, but this time his body will be stronger.

Tim has been complaining that his right shoulder is hurting. This did not begin until after his escape episode on Tuesday. We can't help but wonder if he did fall and hurt his shoulder while he was missing that day.
