Saturday, April 4th

11:00am - Timothy blows my mind sometimes. During the night, while Donna was sleeping on a cot next to him, Tim took off his neckbrace and pulled out his tracheotomy. He gave his nurse, and Donna, quite a scare. They put the neckbrace back on him, but just decided to let the tracheotomy hole heal up. The trach had already been capped off for 24 hours and he did well, so they're not replacing it. Tim has been talking a little bit more. He's mainly talking about getting rid of the neckbrace and going to bed. I guess now that he's breathing through his nose and mouth, he's getting more rest while he sleeps. He is sleeping a whole lot right now. Donna does not feel like she can leave him at all at this point. She may need some help having someone else sit with him from time to time.
